The Fiddlers ReStrung (now Saline Fiddlers Philharmonic) is a fiddle club made up of Saline High School students, and was led by Corinna from 2004-2009 and again 2011-2013.

Students worked together to choose repertoire, created their own arrangements of pieces, improvised in solo and group settings, and performed 40-60 shows per year at theaters, schools, nursing homes, festivals, and local charity events. The group also embarked on educational tours each summer, released biannual student-engineered albums, appeared on Good Morning America in 2005, and was honored by the city of Saline in 2009.

This tune comes from Corinna's lesson series on harmony in American folk music: the students' own arrangement of an old-time tune called Angeline the Baker.

Here is a performance clip following a two-day composition clinic Corinna taught with the Tecumseh School Orchestras (grades 5-12, led by Amy Marr).

In addition to learning songs by ear and developing groove-based bowing techniques, students composed this piece together, which includes improvised sections and a layered arrangement suitable for the diverse skill sets represented in the string program. Older students notated the arrangement, and students from every ensemble had the opportunity to improvise parts as well.
